Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE) is an autonomous board of Government of Maharashtra, established under Maharashtra Act No. XXXVIII of 1997 to regulate diploma-level technical education in the state.

MSBTE has developed a robust system for curriculum design, faculty and student development, industry collaborations, academic monitoring, and evaluation. Through Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and the National Education Policy (NEP 2020), MSBTE aims to reimagine technical education to be student-centric, skill-driven, and flexible.
